How To Become a Member of NWWARN
Last updated: 10/10/08NWWARN members are employed by business or government critical infrastructures or sub-sectors and are owners or operators or have senior level security, business/agency continuity planning, recovery or emergency management positions and responsibilities. If you feel you qualify for membership after reading about NWWARN, its benefits and its membership requirements, please click on the “Join the Northwest Alert, Warning and Response Network” on this page. It will begin your online application process.- Your employment and work responsibilities will be verified with your supervisor
- Because NWWARN is staffed by executive level volunteers, it may take several days to weeks to evaluate and process your application. We apologize for this, but it is unavoidable given our gatekeepers and administrators other commitments and responsibilities. We will process your application as soon as possible.
- You will receive an automated email notifying you whether you have been accepted or declined for membership.
- If accepted, you will also be given instructions on how to establish your NWWARN website user id and password, and how to select the daily reports you wish to receive. You will then be able to access the Members Only website and all of its special member information and assistance.
All applications are evaluated to be accepted or declined by appointed knowledgeable/expert individuals, “gatekeepers”, within each infrastructure, ensuring the formation of our trusted network of infrastructure representatives. If you decide you are not the right person in your company or agency to represent them on NWWARN, please contact the most appropriate person(s) who meet our membership requirements and encourage them to come to this site and apply for membership. - Your employment and work responsibilities will be verified with your supervisor
